Cancellation Requests

Any cancellation or rescheduling request by a registered Academy participant (“registrant”) must be received in writing via email to academy@alarm.com. You may follow up by calling your Account Executive(s), but we must receive your request in writing, sent to the academy@alarm.com email address, in order to confirm timely receipt of your request.

Requests for cancellation or rescheduling will be accepted up until close of business two business days in advance of the training course. We must confirm the attendance of all our participants at that time, and if we do not receive timely notice from you, it will result in a late cancellation fee of $195. For example, for a Thursday training course, your cancellation must be received by close of business Tuesday. As a reminder, our office is located in Virginia and our business hours are 9am - 5pm Eastern time. If the cancellation request is received after the deadline, we will charge your dealership $195. No-shows will also be charged the $195 late cancellation fee.

Cancellation by Alarm.com

If Alarm.com cancels a scheduled Academy or other training course due to an insufficient number of registered participants, all registrants will be notified as far in advance as possible, but no later than two weeks before the scheduled training course. If Alarm.com cancels a scheduled Academy or other training course due to severe weather or other emergency or extenuating circumstances, we will give as much notice as reasonably possible under such circumstances. All registrants should carefully review all event related registration information (as found in your registration receipt, registration confirmation email and/or the Partner Portal) for any additional terms or limitations that may apply to a training program.

Confidentiality

Registrant acknowledges that Alarm.com is the owner of valuable proprietary and confidential information, including, without limitation, Alarm.com's technology, software, products, business plans and strategies, and that unauthorized disclosure of any such confidential information would irreparably damage Alarm.com. Registrant further acknowledges that it may learn or come into possession of certain confidential information while attending the Alarm.com Academy or other training course, and Registrant hereby agrees not to disclose or use any Alarm.com confidential information unless expressly agreed to in writing by Alarm.com.

No Recording

Video or audio recording of any Alarm.com Academy event or other training course is strictly prohibited.

By downloading this training material (the “Materials”), you hereby agree to the following terms:

• You may (a) display the Materials for marketing purposes such as posting the Materials to your owned and operated websites, social media sites and customer emails, and (b) use the Materials for internal business purposes only. • The Materials may not be sold, transferred, or otherwise made available to any third parties, except to an affiliate that is directly or indirectly is controlled by, or under common control with, you.

• Alarm.com may update the Materials from time to time, but does not have any obligation to provide updates, upgrades or modifications to the Materials to you or your customers, including in the event any of the Materials become outdated due to product updates or other reasons. Alarm.com has no obligation to provide you with any support or maintenance for the Materials.
• The Materials and all copyright and other intellectual property rights thereto are and shall remain Alarm.com’s sole and exclusive property. You will safeguard the Materials with that degree of normal care commensurate with reasonable standards of security for proprietary information so that no unauthorized use is made of the Materials.
• You are responsible for all technical support for any Alarm.com-ready Products installed by your customers. Alarm.com will not provide installation or other customer service support directly to customers who use the Materials to install or use Alarm.com-ready Products.
• Alarm.com-ready Products installed using the Materials remain subject to the provisions of your Dealer (or Service Provider) Agreement with Alarm.com. By making the Materials available, Alarm.com provides no additional warranty and has no additional obligations to you or your customers. Products that are damaged due to your customer’s misuse or improper installation are not eligible for warranty return to Alarm.com.
• In no way shall Alarm.com be liable for any loss, damages (including any incidental or consequential damages), injury or death that occur as a result of an end-user installing or attempting to install any device via the Materials.
