Any cancellation or rescheduling request by a registered Academy participant (“registrant”) must be received in writing via email to academy@alarm.com. You may follow up by calling your Account Executive(s), but we must receive your request in writing, sent to the academy@alarm.com email address, in order to confirm timely receipt of your request.
Requests for cancellation or rescheduling will be accepted up until close of business two business days in advance of the training course. We must confirm the attendance of all our participants at that time, and if we do not receive timely notice from you, it will result in a late cancellation fee of $195. For example, for a Thursday training course, your cancellation must be received by close of business Tuesday. As a reminder, our office is located in Virginia and our business hours are 9am - 5pm Eastern time. If the cancellation request is received after the deadline, we will charge your dealership $195. No-shows will also be charged the $195 late cancellation fee.
If Alarm.com cancels a scheduled Academy or other training course due to an insufficient number of registered participants, all registrants will be notified as far in advance as possible, but no later than two weeks before the scheduled training course. If Alarm.com cancels a scheduled Academy or other training course due to severe weather or other emergency or extenuating circumstances, we will give as much notice as reasonably possible under such circumstances. All registrants should carefully review all event related registration information (as found in your registration receipt, registration confirmation email and/or the Partner Portal) for any additional terms or limitations that may apply to a training program.
Registrant acknowledges that Alarm.com is the owner of valuable proprietary and confidential information, including, without limitation, Alarm.com's technology, software, products, business plans and strategies, and that unauthorized disclosure of any such confidential information would irreparably damage Alarm.com. Registrant further acknowledges that it may learn or come into possession of certain confidential information while attending the Alarm.com Academy or other training course, and Registrant hereby agrees not to disclose or use any Alarm.com confidential information unless expressly agreed to in writing by Alarm.com.
Video or audio recording of any Alarm.com Academy event or other training course is strictly prohibited.
